The Skiathos Princess is perfectly situated in Aghia Paraskevi, a suburb of Skiathos Island, located of the North East coast of mainland Greece. Aghia Paraskevi is one of the few suburbs to maintain a high density of trees and greenery, making it a very picturesque location indeed. The Skiathos Princess Hotel, Skiathos is in the perfect location for guests to enjoy the peaceful surroundings, as well as having the opportunity to venture into the neighbouring towns and explore all that this historic island has to offer.
It couldnt be easier to explore the entire island of Skiathos. The buses are incredibly reasonable and run regularly on the main road just outside the Princess hotel. Each bus stop is numbered from 0 to 26. The main route is only 13km long and Skiathos Princess Hotel is located at bus stop 16. Zero is Skiathos Town and 26 is where you will find Koukounaries beach....arguably the nicest beach on the island (quite some accolade considering the competition).
An alternative but highly enjoyable route to Skiathos Town is to take a private water taxi from Skiathos Princess Hotel (from the beach) to the main port. The cost for two people is 40€ one way.
The climate conditions in this part of Greece are typically Mediterranean, with hot and dry summers and mild winters. During the peak summer months it is not uncommon for this area to experience heat waves, where temperatures are known to exceed 40 Celsius.
Skiathos island offers a selection of beautiful beaches as well as local bars, restaurants and daily amenities. The region is the perfect destination for a holiday to Greece as it has so much to offer tourists, and the Skiathos Princess is the perfect retreat from which to explore.
